Restaurants, 3740 of Them!

At least that's how many there were the last time I noticed the Florida Dept of Business and Professional Regulation publishing a tally.  The number has probably changed but you get the idea, it is way beyond the scope of this website to list them all.

Email Andy for a personal recommendation to one of his favorite restaurants.

Otherwise, check out Fodor's Web Site, which includes more Fort Lauderdale restaurants. Best of all? You can read personal recommendations and perhaps leave a few of your own!

You'll find more Fort Lauderdale restaurants listed on Zagat's guide to their favorite localrestaurants.

Accommodations and More

The number of hotels and motels is almost as staggering as the number of restaurants. Our area offers everything from mom & pop motels and gay guesthouses near the beach, to the lavish Marriot Harbor Beach Resort and Spa and the Hyatt at Pier 66 right next to Bahia Mar, as well as some new luxurious properties like The Atlantic, The Saint Regis and the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort.

Our beach is now home to The W Hotel and Residences and soon The glorious Trump International Hotel and Tower Fort Lauderdale.  Some of these are condo hotels where you can have a home-away-from-home and maybe even tax benefits and income too.  Ask me about Hotel Condo investment opportunities.

Your best bet for a list that's kept up to date is our Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau. Their page is full of graphics and will take a minute to load but it's easy to navigate and full of useful information on sports, shopping, arts, entertainment, and lots more.

And if you need a limousine in Fort Lauderdale, just call on Broward Limousine and Airport Services.  Broward Limo offers limousine transport services to airports across South Florida, Miami too.

Arts and Culture

No longer a cultural backwater, Fort Lauderdale now boasts an array of arts and culture activities to rival any mid-size city in America.

We take tremendous pride in the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, The Concert Association of Florida, and more than 20 local theatre companies.  The Art and Culture Center of Hollywood also brings some remarkable exhibits and performances to our area.

Just minutes from the beach is the Riverwalk Arts and Entertainment District in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale.  This is a Fort Lauderdale treasure.  The most beautiful mile of riverfront lined with extravagant yachts and stunning hi-rise luxury condos that have changed the skyline of our city.  It is full of cultural attractions, shops and restaurants, street vendors and musicians.

Riverwalk is adjacent to Esplanade Park and other downtown attractions like the Performing Arts Center The Broward County Library, The Museum of Science and Discovery, the  Museum of Art,  chic Las Olas Boulevard and so much more.

The downtown area also includes the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival, and historic Stranahan House.

Boating, First Quality Used Yachts
and Yacht Maintenance

There are more yachts per capita in Fort Lauderdale than anyplace else in the world.  With so many homes along our gorgeous Intracoastal Waterway and other inland canals, it is only natural that local residents have made this the Yachting Capital of the World.

Considering a yacht?  Consider Frank Gordon Yacht Sales.  Located right in the Bahia Mar Yachting Center, they specialize in realistically priced used yachts.  Click here to check out Frank Gordon Yacht Sales, and tell them Andy Weiser sent you.

To maintain your yacht, call on KB Yachts Of Florida for Boat Detailing & Maintenance Service.  They are based in Ft. Lauderdale and are a fully mobile service, perfect for the busy or out of town owner.
